WW2 USN Painted Fixed Bale Helmet With Gun Crew Marking

Beautiful WW2 fixed bale USN painted helmet to gun crew member. Helmet has nice navy gray paint and is marked 40-5 on the front along with the name Sully on the back. Helmet has nice straps and raised buckle. The heat stamp inside the helmet is 553A. Helmet liner is a Westinghouse and retains much of its original factory finish. There are some stress cracks along the helmet, but it doesn’t affect the presentation of this piece. A truly striking helmet!
