Poignant Named WW2 Bronze Star Medal. Officially hand-engraved with name “Roland E. Martin”. Bronze Star is slot brooch. Presents in very good condition.
According to our cursory research, we believe this Bronze Star can be attributed to Technician Fifth Grade Roland Edward Martin, who served with the 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division and was Killed in Action on June 12, 1944 – 6 days after having participated in the D-Day landings of June 6th, 1944.
