According to our research, Corporal Edward Richard Amesbury (ASN: 33604318), a native of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, served with B Company, 1879th Engineer Aviation Battalion, Far East Air Force Command during WW2. The 1879th Engineer Aviation Battalion would see extensive service throughout the Pacific, including the Philippines and Iwo Jima campaigns.
