WW2 85th Infantry Division M1 Helmet with Liner
Fine WW2 85th Infantry Division M1 Helmet with Liner. Features a 2″ x 2″ painted depiction of the 85th Infantry Division insignia above the left bail of shell. McCord shell is front-seam/fixed bale and presents in good to high condition – retains a nice dark finish with almost all original corking, underneath what appears to be an aged, light clear coat. Chin straps are very good condition original mid-war replacements. Shell is heat stamped (with what appears to be): 355B. International Molded Plastics liner is in good to high condition – showing signs of honest wear – with nice original webbing, washers, sweat band, nape strap, and United Carr leather strap.
A true, choice example of a WW2 painted divisional M1 helmet.
