WW2 4-Panel Medic M1 Helmet with Liner

Beautiful WW2 4-Panel Medic M1 Helmet with Liner. Features four (4) painted red cross medic roundel insignia (each approximately 4″ in diameter). McCord shell is rear-seam/fixed bale and presents in very high condition – retaining almost all of its original paint and corking. Inside of shell appears to show some tracing of an unknown black paint. Chin straps are early to mid-war originals – showing minor fraying at the bale on the j-hook clasp strap. Shell is heat stamped: 729A. Firestone liner is in fair to good condition – showing signs of moderate wear. Liner suspension is in fair condition with some fraying present. Washers show signs of tarnishing. Nape strap is present. Liner was overpainted black at some point (paint appears to be fairly aged). It is very likely that this liner is not original to the shell.

A nearly unsurpassable specimen of an original WW2 4-panel medic helmet.
