Nice Named WW2 9th Air Force Pilot’s Uniform (Roger F. Diffenderfer). Includes chocolate Army Air Force officer’s jacket and pants. Condition is very good with light wear. Highlights of jacket include full three inch sterling clutch back pilot’s wings (sterling marked), Air Medal ribbon with silver OLC, EAME ribbon with 2 campaign stars, and hand-sewn 9th Air Force patch. Tailor’s tag is present – made by Isenberg, Inc. Jacket is named on inside tag “Roger F. Diffenderfer“, along with date and number. Name “R. F. Diffenderfer” is also present on a hand-sewn tag inside the neck of the jacket, with a similar tag present inside the waist of the pants. No research has been done on the name or associated laundry number. A fine example of a WW2 pilot’s uniform with great research potential.
