According to our cursory research, Technician Fifth Grade John J. Lynch (ASN: 33265096), a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, served with Company H, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division during WW2. Lynch was wounded by a German bayonet puncture in June of 1944, during the early stages of the Normandy Campaign.
