Identified WW2 IX Troop Carrier Command Uniform – Shipp

Fantastic Identified WW2 Troop Carrier Uniform. Condition is very good with no noticeable issues. Includes 2-pocket Ike style jacket, shirt, pants, dog tags, and small named paperwork lot. Jacket features fancy stitching around the IX Troop Carrier Command patch. Ribbon bar is British made and features plastic covered ribbons. EAME Campaign ribbon includes 3 campaign stars – one of which appears to be silver in color. Jacket is marked as size 36L. Manufacturer’s tag is present – dated 1944. Dog tags are named to “Carl D. Shipp“.

Cursory research uncovered that Carl D. Shipp served with the IX Troop Carrier Command from 1943 through the end of WW2 – meaning that he was likely involved in the command’s 3 combat air assaults (Operations Neptune, Market, and Varsity).

A great looking uniform to a multi-campaign WW2 troop carrier veteran.
